Mentoring Program Guidelines
Population We Serve
Economically-challenged groups, including single mothers, low-income potential home buyers, minorities, and others facing credit or financial issues.

Anyone is eligible to participate who has had credit problems, bankruptcies, foreclosures, a need for credit and financial literacy and wealth building, or assistance with enhancing and maintaining a current budget.

Mentors
Individuals who have demonstrated financial success in day–to–day living experiences.

Mentor Qualifications
Homeowners with good credit and sound financial history (we do not examine individual credit reports) showing major and minor financial accomplishments.

Mentoring type
One on One (mentor and mentee)

Organization
We will be a stand-alone program that is a part of a collective effort.

Nature of Mentoring Sessions
There will be in-home support via telephone and bi-monthly sessions with mentees.

Mentors should meet with mentees bi-monthly for two (2) hours for a period of six (6) months.

Mentors will meet with mentees at the Glory 1 Office location to address credit issues and resolutions.

Program Shareholders
Program shareholders are primarily the members of communities, cities and counties in which we reside. Because bankruptcy filings, foreclosures and poor credit histories of others affects us all in one way or another, (taxes, interest rates, diminishing property values, etc.) this is an effort the county can benefit from. With this responsible credit hand-held program, we will build better communities.

Evaluation of Program's Success
Three indicators will measure program success: 1) improvement in men tees' credit histories between entrance into the program and completion, 2) increased knowledge of financial matters comparing pre – and post-testing results, and 3) reconciled credit issues.

Case Management
Case management is conducted monthly to check the progress of each participant and monitor the mentoring relationships. Progress reports are required after every mentoring session. Case managers will contact mentees and mentors to inquire about sessions and the next plan of action, and review client goals, credit needs and any obstacles they feel may be a hindrance.
